The strategic plan of Zumaia 2005 has like fundamental condition the relaunching of its port. The disappearance of the fishing activity forces to propose new challenges like the one to construct a port of recreation within the harbor zone. The works of access improvement guarantee an openwork in low tide of 5m in the mouth and 3,5m throughout the ship canal. Protected bay of prevailing winds of the NW.
