Return to Galicia

An authentic nautical celebration of 10 days of duration. A true “raid” that in group crosses the Galician coast, one of the most beautiful coasts of all Europe. A unique opportunity to surely enjoy and in company many other fans and one long week throughout several hundreds nautical miles coastal navigation.

It is already the ninth edition of the Nautical Return to Galicia. A playful and sport event organized by the Galician Federation de Vela with the sponsorship of the Xunta of Galicia and Caixanova. Day 1 of August one nourished fleet of boats to candle will start off from Ría de Ribadeo. Day 2 another fleet of boats will leave from Ría of Vigo, it stops in five days of navigation to be in a great naval shutdown in Camariñas, and to initiate all the together slope until Moaña, arriving at the same day 10 of August.

The Galician community owns an excellent meteorology for the practice of navigation to candle, to which the variety is added and beauty of its different zones from coast, from the majestic the deep ones and varied coast of the death to you laugh baixas. The presence of an important fleet of sailboats sailing and making the stops throughout the hundreds of miles of the coast of Galicia will be a form to animate to the national and international public to the practice of the navigation of water recreation of Galicia.

And besides navigation during the development of the diverse stages it will also have place activities organized by the different city councils by where the fleet is saturating. The traveling character that maintains the passage from its creation has motivated that this year appears with numerous new features with respect to previous editions and that concentrate in harnessing Rías like scene of navigation.

The “Volta to Galicia” will cross two-way traffic in all the coast until being integrated in a great fleet in the beautiful locality of Camariñas. First from Ribadeo, passed through Burela, Viveiro, Cedeira, Corunna, It eases, to arrive at Camariñas. Second from Vigo, and happening through Moaña, Saxenxo, Vilagarcía, Pobra do Caramiñal, Riveira, Muros and Corcubión, to finally joining itself with the first fleet in Caramiñal. And thence all together ones will sail again South course until Moaña in Ría of Vigo place where the ninth edition from the return to Galicia will finalize.
