Impeccable victory of “magician” Sanderson. After an intense tactical fight with the Brasil1 de Torben Grael, it was able to raise itself with the victory in his own house. This way it managed to make up for of the defeat against the Brasil1 in the eighth stage.

 

It is clear that to the exceptional boat designed by Juan Kouyoumdjian, the best crew of this edition VOR70 adds itself to him. Mike Sanderson: “We have sailed of perfect form, possibly making the best race of all the VOR. The boys have given to the maximum especially the tactical ones.”

 

Thousands of fans attended in Rotterdam this spectacular regata coastal, under perfect conditions of skies blue and pleasant temperature. The variable winds that did not reach the 10 knots forced the Committee of Regatas to realize a first postponement and the relocation of the buoys in the field of regatas, as well as a new exclusion zone for the watching boats and the replacement of the line of exit.

The Spanish Bermúdez Robert, of the Brasil1 commented: “In one regata like this one in which the level is very high, a put second is an incredible result, but it knows little. The ABN1 has been shining and from the beginning it was very aggressive doing first fitted the bottom to the left of I embroider, while we had to cover the Pirates. I suppose that they counted that's why on people knew the field very well regatas, but in any case, they have made it phenomenal and we are contentments of ours second place”.

The landlord of the Brazilian equipment, Torben Grael, showed its satisfaction before the yield of the equipment. “To do first and a second in less than 24 hours it is definitively a good average.  We had a good exit. We try to reach to the ABN, but they were faster. We had to defend our position in front of the Pirates of the Caribbean to try to scratch the greater possible score. Despite all very we are satisfied with the result and I am very proud of this equipment”.

 

Two exciting hours of regata “inshore” in which the Brasil1 also was on the verge of raising itself with the victory, if it does not get to be by the lost one of speed in one of the trasluchadas ones. In third position Pirate of the Caribbean one followed by Ericsson. In fifth position the Brunel that little by little is imposing more force and closed the classification in ABN2.
