Norms IMOCA

The Boats Open 60 are very fast, constructed in coal fiber and using the last technologies. Very light to allow the planning from average speeds of wind but very solid to be able to confront the hardest seas.

They are designed to on board be able to be taken by a unique person and with very few comforts. The keels are pendular to correct list to the maximum the boat helped by the ballast tanks that compensate the little weight of the crew (a person).

On board the Skipper is extremely busy taking the boat, constantly fitting the candles and repairing the flaws that take place in the equipment. The boats take three types of candles; The majors, those of prow, and the Spinnakers.
Norms IMOCA (INternational MOnohull open Class Assosation) that must fulfill so much Open 50 as the Open 60 participants in the Velux 5 Oceans, are very abiertas but conditioning many aspects for the sake of the security of the boats and their crew. There am its content here:
