Leaving the Gulf of Fethiye in South direction, we were with the Bay of Gemiler, beaches and places where to cast anchor. In the end this is the precious inner Bay of Ölü Deniz, at the moment protected. Closely together is the small fishing port of Kalkan, from which it is possible to be visited the Ruins of Patara and Xanthos, to only 19 km. The small and calm town of Kalkan is a colorful place, with good restaurants and in which it is worth the trouble to pause and to savor the cosy character of his inhabitants.
Thence, our next shutdown would have of being the romantic Greek island of Kastellorizón, a full place of enchantment and Mediterranean flavor that we would not have to stop visiting in our route. In front of her low the Turkish coast and the Taurus mounts, is placed the fishing port of Kas, the old Antiphellos, a small green oasis under surrounding hills; one of the most charming places of these coasts. On the town, numerous tombs can be Lycean (century IV a.c.), difficult to see until the dusk, when to his it discovers them illumination to our eyes. Closely together of we can there also find a theater of rather the well conserved Hellenistic period, from which a wonderful view is contemplated on the bay.
Overcoming the coast, always in direction, we found the island of Kekova, located in front of the Ruins of Andriake and Aperlae. Their form of lizard and the numerous Lycean coffins that lay out all the border and lie semisubmerged, confer a beautiful aspect phantasmagorically to him. In the South part of the island, we were with the small Cove of Karaloz, an ideal place to spend the night stars under them or to spend the day bathing to us or fishing in its crystalline waters.
Of return to the coast of the continent and closely together of there, we can be entered in the Bay of Gokkaya, protected by a group of islands that keep their entrance and form the narrow channels of access. The set resembles a scale model concerning Norwegian fiords and in its interior we will not find but tranquility, a small fresh water spring that make the bath still more refreshing and at the most, a small restaurant where to savor the traditional Turkish food more recently… and, a vacacional camping.
Again in way towards our end, we arrived until the city of Finike, that safe to supply itself, we can avoid in our route. Continuing we found the Bay of Çavus, with one long beach in its borders and some that another restaurant. Much more interesting it is to stop us in the Bay of Çineviz, normally desert and surrounded by spectacular plagued mountains of pines.
In the final section of our route, we were with Tekirova, the old Phaselis, one of the most colorful places of these coasts. There we will be able to cross the ancestral ruins of the establishment founded by colonists coming from Rhodes, in year 690 a.c.
Closely together or of the end of our trip, we will be able to make a shutdown in the modern navy of Kemer and still to lower to make some purchases or to have dinner in some of its numerous restaurants.
