1982:52 boats in the exit

1986:

They are present best the Skippers although there are less participants than in the 82. The size of the boats continues growing and already more than 13 boats they measure more than 23 meters of length, all of them piloted alone. 1990: One regata; A woman

1994: Slight Podio

They divide 24 participants and only they compete in two different races within one, the multihelmets and monocoques, accidentally 12 of each of them. The catamaran of Jean Maurel loses its nose and must turn aside itself to Brest. Mike Birch breaks the wood and returns with fortune equipment. Halvard Mabire running in the “Cherbourg Technologies” loses the keel and is legs above being located by its beacon of emergencia. The sailor is fight to the rudder and the boat sinks 10 hours later.

 

Loïck Peyron takes to the baton of the race to the taken salary a more favorable North route. Meanwhile Fujicolor II breaks the wood. 1998:

19 multihelmets and 18 monocoques in the exit of Saint-Bad appear. Regata celebrates its 20 anniversary in this sixth edition. The exit is very exciting. Yvan Bourgnon (Yprema) breaks the mast and the wind continues raising. Victor Jean-Noël (Region Guadeloupe - RFO) also breaks his wood and Bernard Mallaret loses the control of its novel adjustable keel. Eric Dumont is made a edge in the arm with their knife when climbing up the wood to fix a halliard. Some as the Erics Dumont lower much to the south against the coasts of Morocco and until the Canary Islands. Paul Vatine prefers to make route by the North and it will remain “nailed”. Finally Laurent Bourgnon, Alain Gautier, Marc Guillemot and Franck Cammas will arrive in a fist at the arrival in Guadalupe.

2002: Year of all the record

58 participants meet in 2002 but also the record of abandonments is fought… Altogether 28 boats arrive at the arrival, and from the 18 participant multihelmets they only arrive at goal 3 from them. Another record; two monocoques arrive in real time in front of the first classified multihelmet, as a result of the exit anticipated a day of the monocoque ones on the multihelmets.
