Emirates T. New Zealand satisfied with the decision of the Jury
The Emirates Team New Zealand is satisfied with the decision of the Jury taken by majority on the system of the Alinghi to flood the major.
“This it is not a case that is evident,” Grant Dalton said. “The fact that the Jury could not agree demonstrates it.”
A majority of the members of the Jury agrees in which Alinghi did not break the rule of 36,1, which it requires that the boats are able to flood the greater candle without having to send a crew member to the mast.
The Jury let to the discretion of the Committee of Measurement take “the suitable steps to be sure that the boats follow the regulation of the Class.”
“That means that the Committee of Measurement can throw another look, if it decides to do it, to which all we we saw yesterday by the television,” Dalton said.
Dalton said that the equipment put under the protest because “he is unique the average one that as equipment we must available to assure to us that we are competing in equality of conditions.”
“While, we will do what we have come to do here, that is to compete.”
