Glass I castrate - Regata Martin Códax

Created by the Real Sporting Club in 1.907. The Glass I castrate form leaves from the history of Vela in Spain and figure as first regata cruise (in passage) organized by a Spanish club of candle.
His first edition was programmed for the 4 of September of 1907 although it had to be annulled by imposition of the Naval command by storm warning. Finally days later it was possible to be disputed, but it has not been certainty of the first winner.
The trophy did not appear until the following year, it was donated by the town of I castrate and its cost was supported by popular subscription. The trophy represented a sailor maintaining in high a buoy.

During first editions it was disputed between the ports of Getxo and Castro Urdiales. In his second edition already acquired importance due to the participation of the Royal Family, with Alfonso XIII at the top, in the competition.
Its trophy, described as “a piece of impressive massive silver” disappeared during the Civil War, and reappeared in the Sixties during a cleaning in the warehouses of the Real Sporting Club. It returned to disappear in 1.973 during a fire in the Club Nautical of Abra and until he has today not become that is to say nothing from him reason why at the moment an retort is used.
The trophy remains exposed in one of clubs organizing (the one of the champion of the edition) and a month before being celebrated the competition, yields the other club so that it can expose it during that time.

The Glass I castrate consists of two puntuables tests:
The Coastal Regata between Getxo and Castro Urdiales of 15 miles
Triangle of 12 miles in the Cantabrian coast.
One is described as regata as High Cruising level by the Real Spanish Federation of Candle and scores for the Glass of Spain.
The boats that participate compete in the Divisions Regata and Crucero according to their certificate of measurement IRC. The classifications are realized per compensated time.
