The Port of Cartagena is formed by two independent docks, the one of Cartagena and the one of Tips, separated to each other by a distance of 1.5 miles.

The main activities of the dock of Cartagena are dedicated to the traffic of general merchandize and in container. These are completed with fishing activities, port for sport and soft boats like the Wharf used Alfonso XII like terminal for the dockage of cruises.

It is not allowed to cast anchor within his perimeter having to enter port with precaution due to the traffic that exists. In the wharf it is possible to moor boats of until 25m of length.
