The Jury decided yesterday night on the protest between +39 Challenge and United Internet Team Germany, granting a repair to the Italian equipment.

With respect to the incident of the second test of the past Wednesday, the Jury determines that the Germans infringed rules 10 (you haul in opposites) and 14 (to avoid the contact) of the Regulation of Regatas to Candle.

Areva Challenge, that initially had been protested by United Internet Team Germany, was acquitted of all fault in the incident.

Like repair, the Jury granted to +39 Challenge the equivalent to a fifth position in the test number three of the Valencia Louis Vuitton Act 13 (not affecting to the rest of positions in the classification).

Similarly, +39 Challenge will both receive points of advantage that would correspond based on their present position in Louis Vuitton Ranking to him, independent of the result that obtains in Act 13.

In addition, the Jury has decided that the rightest solution for all the +39 boats happens to allow Challenge that accepts the supply to use a mast of Version 5 of United Internet Team Germany. The Jury is conscious that this would require an amendment of the protocol, that it recommends.

All the costs will be the responsibility of United Internet Team Germany.

The document with the complete resolution of the Jury foreseeably will be finalized Friday.
